Mistu's TOTP Generator Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Mistu's TOTP Generator ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of the terms, then you may not access the Service.

2. Description of Service

Mistu's TOTP Generator is a web-based application that generates Time-based One-Time Passwords (TOTP) according to RFC 6238 standards. The service operates entirely in your web browser with no data transmitted to any server.

3. Use License

Permission is granted to temporarily download one copy of the materials (information or software) on Mistu's TOTP Generator for personal, non-commercial transitory viewing only. This is the grant of a license, not a transfer of title, and under this license you may not:

  • Modify or copy the materials
  • Use the materials for any commercial purpose, or for any public display (commercial or non-commercial)
  • Attempt to decompile or reverse engineer any software contained on Mistu's TOTP Generator

6. Accuracy of Materials

  • No secrets or sensitive data are transmitted to any server
  • If you choose to save your secret locally, it is stored only in your browser's localStorage
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your TOTP secrets
  • We recommend clearing your secret when finished using the application

11. Use of TOTP Codes

The TOTP codes generated by this service are intended for use with legitimate two-factor authentication systems. Users agree not to use this service for any unauthorized access to accounts or systems that do not belong to them.

12. Data Storage and Local Storage Warning

When you choose to save your TOTP secret locally using the "Save Secret" feature:

  • The secret is stored only in your browser's localStorage
  • The secret is not encrypted and is accessible to any website you visit from the same domain
  • We strongly recommend using this feature only on devices you trust
  • You acknowledge that storing secrets locally carries inherent security risks
  • You are responsible for clearing saved secrets when using shared devices

13. Technical Requirements

To use this service, you must have:

  • A modern web browser with JavaScript enabled
  • Access to the Web Crypto API (available in all modern browsers)
  • Sufficient browser memory to execute the TOTP algorithm

14. No Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without any guarantees of any kind. We do not warrant that:

  • The Service will meet your requirements
  • The Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free
  • The results obtained from using the Service will be accurate or reliable
  • Any errors in the Service will be corrected
